Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring non-sulphated glycosaminoglycan (GAG), which exists in connective tissues, epithelial tissues, synovial joint fluid, etc. It is one of the main matrix substances along with collagen and elastin that strengthen the matrix. HA has been widely used in cosmetic and personal care applications due to its important effects on tissue hydration control, tissue regeneration, wound healing and other anti-ageing aspects.
HA is produced in all vertebrate tissues and body fluids in varying amounts. In the skin, HA constitutes the primary reservoir of HA in the body, accounting for more than 50% of the total. HA is present at very high concentrations in the narrow extracellular space between the stratified keratinocytes of the epidermis and has a turnover time of less than 1 day. This dynamic metabolism suggests that HA is a spatial filler involved in the upward migration and shape changes of differentiating keratinocytes, that it provides extracellular space for the exchange of nutritional and regulatory metabolites for higher spiny cells and acts as a signalling ligand to enhance keratinocyte motility and survival.
Idratia by elinné, has developed a synergistic blend of different sizes of HA and other actives. - Start or step 1:
We clean the area to be treated with the most suitable Elinné cleansers.
- Step 2:
Apply and spread over the face and décolleté until no residue is left. We can use devices such as virtual mesotherapy (highly recommended) or “+” pole ionisation.
- Step 3:
Follow with the idratia mask for dry and dehydrated skin or with other masks according to skin type.
